In praise of crochet

Most of you know me as a scrapbooker or card maker. Well, its time for me to come clean about the lack of paper on here recently. I've deflected to the other side, people.

Crochet.

It started over Christmas. I picked up a few hooks and got a feel for some pretty-coloured yarns. I found myself understanding things like 'ch4 ss into 1st ch'.

It's just so... Portable. Meditative. I don't have to carry about a suitcase of supplies to do it on the move. I don't even really need to pay attention and this suits me right now.

I'm sorry paper. I'll be back.

  1. I've taken up the crochet route defected from cards and scrapbooking too. But I'm struggling reading patterns, I find some designers seem tonsils it unnessary difficult to read. I will have to keep practising:)

  2. Welcome to 'the dark side'!
I love crochet for all the same reasons, you just pop it in a bag, take it to the beach, on vacation, in the garden etc.
The receptive movements are like a mantra and so relaxing...and don't even get me started on choosing yarns and colours!!

    Enjoy!
