Can't believe I've managed to keep this quiet over Christmas (it's been excruciating!) but I'm allowed to blog, as it's been announced today, that I'm the new editor of
Mollie Makes.
I am beyond excited. Having been Acting Editor for a while now, it's just wonderful to be able to properly sink my teeth in and do a small amount of switcheroo (it won't change too much, promise), tweaking things here and there and bouncing new ideas off the wonderful team. You'll be pleased to know too, that previous editor, Jane Toft isn't going far. She's been promoted to Editor in Chief across our lifestyle titles, which include MM. I'm thrilled to still be working with her - I've learnt so much about publishing an international title working with Jane and having been trusted to look after things while she was seconded was absolutely the best way to learn.
I would love to hear your comments and feedback about the magazine. And I'll still be blogging to give you snippets of behind the scenes, pretty pictures and my own endeavours in craft.
The first issue to have my editor's letter will be no.24, out on 15th February. Can't wait!
Also, I decided on my
One Little Word for 2013. I do this rather than resolutions. It's 'Strength'. Since 2010, I've now moved through 'Create', 'Evolve' and 'Balance' and felt something extra active, brazen and bold was due. What's your word?
So excited for you, you absolutely deserve this, and I bet Jane is glad to be able to delegate, with all the titles she's juggling. Looking forward to reading your letter and wishing you very best of luck (not that you'll need it!)
